Seedsower and Dave and Xanga
I haven't been updating like I should...but I think Dave's on the mendthese are updates from Beth's facebook page:They replaced the damaged mitral valve, all went well, and full recovery is expected! Amen!Good morning everyone. David is resting well , they were able to remove the breathing tube last night and that was a big relief for Dave. All his signs and counts are good and the doctor is pleased with his progress. Dave's sense of humor is in full swing, it's good to see him laugh again.Good morning everyone. I went home yesterday for a while did some laundry and played with Cider etc. I came back to Hershey in the evening and set to sit with Dave for a few hours. He's doing well, the doctors are pleased with his progress he's able to move around and they took out some of his tubes. He does have some atrial fibrillation and he has not been able to sleep well so you keep those things in prayer. Thank you for all the comments, love and concern and support. I so appreciate my family here. I love you all.speaking of updates....if you haven't already gone go to #WeAreXanga and support your local bloggers -
Prayers Please
It's been quite some time since I've read a Prayer Request here on xanga...This one is a biggie and comes from @SaintVi via Facebookfor @ Seedsower and her husband DavePlease be praying for Beth and her husband Dave.Dave had a heart attack ( there is a history of this problem on his father's side) and his mitral valve is damaged. He is in stable condition but with this damage people can take a turn for the worse very quickly. They flew him to Hershey last night because one of the doctors on the team at St Josephswho does the surgery is on vacation so they sent him to Hershey because if he does get worsethey want him to be able to have the surgery right away.Thank you for your prayers and love.I'm Praying Hardilym -

the sunset looking out my front door July 17, 2013
it was really more spectacular than this
even in the eastern sky everything was pink
I should invest in a good camera
speaking of investing
if you haven't invested in xanga.2

My youngest daughter sent this to me through facebook
I've copied and pasted this wonderful challenge to share here on xanga too....at least I hope it works
Momma- i think this will brighten your day!Love you! it did brighten my day - and unknowingly I'd already done one random act of kindness today -
it reminded me of this song by Supertramp:"Give A Little Bit"Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
Give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you
There's so much that we need to share
Send a smile and show you careI'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you
So give a little bit
Give a little bit of your time to me
See the man with the lonely eyes
Take his hand, you'll be surprisedGive a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
I'll give a little bit of my love for you
Now's the time that we need to share
So find yourself, we're on our way back homeGoing home
Don't you need to feel at home?
Oh yeah, we gotta singSometimes just a smile is all it takes to make a persons dayILYMp.s....please disregard the 1. and 2. on the left side of the pageI cannot make them go away

A summer poem
@adamswomanback asked about our favorite summer words yesterday
I'm having a difficult time these days coming up with anything much to say at all...
hence all the reposting...
but
below is my favorite summer poem...I made it up myself
it's from June 2011
Welcome to SummerIt's hot outside,
no ac at our house
but the ceilings are high
and have fans on them,
the oaks shade us from
the hot evening sun
but after about 4pm
it gets pretty damn hot inside also.
We adapt well I think,
we wade or walk or swim in the creek
unless there are fishermen,
like yesterday, there,
we do not despair
cause we could run them off
or go to the house
and do something betterwe'll water the gardens
we'll use the sprinkler !
the grandson and I
we're just such great thinkersmake a plan to keep cool
however you can
sit in a pool or
in front of the fanbut if you have kids
or are one at heart
just drag out the sprinkler
it' a really good starthave a wonderful summer
Nash's first sprinkler experience
he's still a naturalLife is Good...
Enjoy It Allilym

Happy Birthday to my girls - a repost from 2010
Happy Birthday Grills
I Love and Miss You More
Anna's the oldest by about 13 minutes
Which would make Sarah the youngest by about 13 minutes
thanks for the photo shellisland:
The world is certainly your oyster girls...I'm so proud you enjoy it!
A few of Barry's pictures from the 2010 reunion:
Brother and Sisters
L-R Charlene (our Mom), Aunt Beverly, Uncle Clayton and Aunt Butch
Then add us first cousins - minus our sister Lou Lou
just look at the fine second cousins we wrought
Then it was time to shoot guns and blow things up
It rained a good bit so you had to get around some mud puddles
or not
Rut-Row - There might be a one shoed cousin left in the mud!
KABOOM!!!!
Nash got a little ear congestion on our last day. Cousin Lanette took care of him . He's was all back to normal by the time we got home.
Thanks ahna4 - You Rock!

Freedom Rings
Hope Everyone Has a Happy and Safe Independence Day
Freedom has its life in the hearts,
the actions, the spirit of men
and so it must be daily earned and refreshed
else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots,
it will wither and die.
~ Dwight D. Eisenhower
