Summertime
Early every spring my husband Barry plants tomato seed, he also buys plants when they come available at the hardware and grocery store, this year I think he planted a dozen plants at the house and has given plants away, I even planted one here at the office. Then the waiting and watching begins...it's always exciting to see those first little green gems apear. Tuesday when I got home from work Barry told me we had a red tomato! I asked him if he'd picked it but he was waiting on our grandson Nash to to have the honor...You see Nash loves tomatoes, he's been our official tomato inspector since he was able to walk! Wednesday Nash and Big Moon ( Nash calls Barry Big Moon, much more creative than grandpa although we do have to explain who Big Moon is quite often) emailed me this photo:
Nash found two red beauties....sometimes being four has it's advantages, like being closer to the ground where red tomatoes like to hang out
One tomatoe went into Nash's ramon noodles and Barry is saving the second one, I figure until there's another one to take it's place, but I'm thinking it might turn into a tomato sandwich this afternoon...Yummmmmm....my mouth is already watering...
I haven't called the computer dude in to look at my computer yet, but at least I can connect to the internet without embarassing myself, although occasionally the screen goes blue and everything shuts down...I'll have to do something soon. I'm also still typing blind but I can highlight (thanks Zakiah!)and read what I've written, it's kinda tricky editing this way but I'm gettin it done

It looks as if spring suddenly sprung into summer!
I love fresh tomato sandwiches. Yumm, indeed.
Wow! Our tomato plants are just flowering! We have the squash plants flowering too - all too soon we will be knee deep in squash. Sadly the tomatoes seem to be lagging this year.
I sure wish my wife would get back to growing tomatoes. I love them.
I have had some good service of late as to the internet. I hope it lasts. lol.
what a cute picture ~ love his expression ~
THE BEST tomatoes are the ones picked right from the summer garden!
I always found when kids help raise and pick the veggies, they seem to develop a good relationship with them.

Yay for Nash! What a joy for him to have a love of veggies and being able to pick them from a garden!
"Big Moon"! I love it!
HUGS!!!
Nash is a cutie. Good for him in having good taste ... tomatoes! Our next door neighbor keeps us supplied in tomatoes throughout the summer, and they are so yummy!
Hope your computer gets fixed soon. I'm glad you are posting.
BTW, How many children do you have, and how many grandchildren?
Marsha, those tomatoes are large. I love the color. Yeah, some mozzarella cheese and a couple slices of tomato will make such a good s'wich. Mine are still green on the plant. I hope they turn red soon.
Glad the tip helped with the typing. ILYM
he's cute. I don't even see the tomatoes. LOL
Those are nice. Some years ago, I tried tomatoes, aphids kept killing it.
Dream of tomatoes , juicy, fragant and sweet . Nash has much changed he is growing up fast
But your dream o tomatoes already is a reality at the opposite of us . Our tomatoes are slow to grow and at this time they are little and green .

RYC: I do love looking at various pictures of family members to see if I can find similarities.

Blessings for a great Sunday!
AND RYC 2 mine: I hate cancer, too, Marsha. I’m sorry that you lost your son to that horrid disease.
You have such a nice family! Is your profile picture of you with your twin girls?
You forgot to mention in your list of offspring, etc. — your son-in-law.
It is funny how things change — like our feelings about having children!
I too love to both hear about (& talk about) children and other family members.
We are both blessed! ♥ ♥
Nothing tastes better than homegrown tomatoes! So much nicer than those hard, red "bullets" you get at the store! When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I had a real "thing" for tomato sandwiches. I would toast an English muffin, add a bit of mayo, and put a great, big slice of beefsteak tomato on top. Yummy!
....and our tomatoes still are green!!:):-)

I love, love tomatoes fresh from the garden! It's one of my favorite things.
About your question - My grandson placed the fake snake there to make people jump.
Nice picture Marsha, love the summer time and those tomatoes!!!
Oh how I love fresh tomatoes! Wish you lived next door.
You fooling around with computer, I'm still learning Windows7.
