- Aloysius_son wants to know whats top on our list of favorite things, although I don't think he has posted any favorites, not even one =/
- I stand corrected - John did list his favorite foods in his list of comments, it was the first comment, but his comments run in reverse order, so I DIDN'T SEE IT AT FIRST!!!!!! BUT - I WILL GIVE YOU A BUTTER HEADS UP IF YOU GO OVER THERE....
here's the list:
1. Your top ten foods.
2. Your top ten people in history living or dead to invite to a dinner party.
3. Your top ten favorite songs.
4. The top ten ways you’d like to spend your Saturday.
5. Your opinion, the top ten inventions / discoveries of mankind.
6. The top ten ways you would spend money if money was no object.
7. Your ten best qualities or talents.
8. Your ten best friends.
9. Your top ten best memories.
10. The top ten things you wouldn’t want anyone to know about you.
I'm only going to list my favorite songs today, since it's past time to go home, and I still have to make a deposit before the bank closes.
In no particular order:
1. "Chanson Pour Les Petits Enfants" - Jimmy Buffett
Now young Mr. Moon flew away in the night
With his best friend Magnus right by his side
They soared through the Milky Way counting the stars
Once around Venus, twice around Mars2.) "Blackbird" - the BeatlesBlackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise. And he asked me
Why do you ride for your money
Tell me why do you rope for short pay
You ain't a'gettin' nowhere
And you're losin' your share
Girl, you must have gone crazy out there4.) "Moon River" - Audrey Hepburn
Moon river, wider than a mile
I’m crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you’re goin’, i’m goin’ your way5.) "Blurred Lines" - Robin Thicke
Everybody get up
Everybody get up
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, heyI can't post many more of the lines of this song...they are awful! But you can do some dancin to this song. I just dance, I promise I don't listen to the words...I haven't even watch the video ( or much of it anyway )
6.) "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay" - Otis Redding
Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' come
Watching the ships roll in
And then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah7. " Hey Ya" - Outkast
One, two, three, uh!
My baby don't mess around
Because she loves me so
And this I know for sure.8.) " A gift of a Thistle" - Horner - preformed by the London Symphony Orchestra
from Braveheart - the whole sound track is just dang good.

9.) " You Are My Sunshine" - Willie Nelson
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine awayand because it's been that sort of couple of weeks;
10.) "Angel" - Sarah McLachlan
Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There's always some reason
To feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the dayodd sorta list isn't it....
no one ever said I wasn't sorta odd

Here's a sky update for the weekend:
the North Taurid meteor shower should peak on the 11th"
Watch for shootin stars - Monday should be the best day but you should look for shootin stars whenever the night skies are clear....you just never know.
Although the North Taurid meteor shower is not expected to peak until early next week, the meteor rates may be comparable throughout the weekend. In a dark sky, you might see 5 to 10 meteors per hour. This shower favors the Northern Hemisphere, but no matter where you live worldwide, the best viewing hours are usually in the wee hours just after midnight.
and the Moon is a beautiful waxing crescent....hanging around with Venus
thanks to Earth Sky for the image!
Ya'll have a great weekend and Veterans Day!
Hug a Veteran - shoot - hug anyone who needs a hug - even if they don't know they need one.

The taurid meteor shower -- night before last many in LA area saw a large green light streak across the sky -- part of a taurid meteor!
before I saw your answer I thought of Moon River but really that was dad's favorite song by Andy Williams.
A good list! You are my sunshine was my grandfather's favorite and he would sing it to me! I think I learned that one before my ABCs!
Oh, I love this top-ten thing! I'll do it tomorrow
And now I have that Otis Redding song stuck in my head (yep, I love my oldies and Motown and I'm not even 25 years old!!)
I'm glad to see this going around. It's fun to learn more about our online contacts.
Nice photo you chose.
I like some of your songs too. I used to sing "You are my sunshine" to my sons when they were little.
Oh, and BTW, Aloysius son did answer part. In the comments, he was first to list his 10 favorite foods.

Yes, hugs to all the Vets. And HUGS to everyone!
HUGS!!!
The top ten is a great way to ease back in to blogging here! And I love singing some of your favorite songs to a few people. Thanks!
I have been unable to answer to this "tens"s : the uses and the song are so different from a continent to another even if some songs have crossed the ocean .
For instance it happens that some songs comme all of a sudden in my mind . They were songs sang by my mother born in 1902 . I am the only one to have those memories.

I understand Michel, my favorite songs are from my childhood also, when I was growing up we never seemed to have a radio in our car, and we traveled about a good bit, our father would have us all singing old folk songs, I doubt many people would remember the songs we sang either. Personal Memories are very special! ILYM
